Back to basics

A fool’s guide to playing
Billed as “Acting for Everyone” and running on six Saturdays from 12th September, Jonathan Brown of Something Underground Theatre Company runs these workshops for everyone from seasoned professionals to beginners.

A course in dance and performance for adults
Open to anyone with a desire to move and an interest in contemporary performance. The sessions develop movement awareness, dance technique and performance skills, and lead to an informal performance at the end of the course. Run by Tamar Daly.

Mindfulness for singers
This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn how to use the skill of mindfulness combined with singing to breakthrough any negative self talk around your voice or performing.

An introduction to playwriting
The course offers an introduction to some of the skills and techniques needed to write for theatre, as well as insights into the new writing industry in the UK and the process of moving a play from the page to the stage. Lead by RADA graduate Frank McCabe, who is one of the BBC Writersroom 10 for 2014/15.
