We’ve had a few emails and conversations recently with people who are launching new projects in Brighton & Hove, so we’ve posted this article as a short summary. Please note that BrightonActors.co.uk is not directly involved in the organisation of any of these events, so please contact the individuals concerned should you require any further information.
Unmasked Theatre – launch party
Unmasked Theatre, who previously worked out of Worthing, are now operating in Brighton. They’re holding a launch party at The Rialto on Wednesday 26th October 2016 at 7.30pm.
From their Facebook event: “For Brighton based Actors, Directors, Writers, crew and creatives to meet the company and find out about our work and getting involved. It’s also a great excuse for a drink (yes there will be Prosseco).“
Unmasked Theatre – new writing scratch night
Back at The Rialto on Wednesday 30th November 2016, Unmasked are running a scratch night for new writing, and submissions are open until 2nd November for 15-20 minute script extracts.
From the Facebook event: “Six 15-20 minute extracts will be selected from a pool of submissions to be performed at the Rialto on the 30th November. As before, the audience will get the chance to vote for their favourite on the night with a prize up for grabs. All will then be considered for the overall prize of an hour long performance slot at the Rialto in next year’s Brighton Fringe, with the option of it being directed and performed by Unmasked Theatre. This will be decided by the Rialto / Unmasked Theatre Directors within three days of the performance.“
